Michael O. Pullen Mr. Michael O. Pullen is one of the Principals of Nevada By Design, and is responsible for the commitment of resources to execute all tasks and assignments performed by Nevada By Design. As a life long resident of Clark County, Mr. Pullen has accomplished many community achievements. He has had the honor of serving as the Nevada President of the American Public Works Association for the year 2000 while sitting on many other boards for various professional organizations. Mr. Pullen has over thirty-five years experience in the public works field, serving in such significant capacities as Deputy Director of Public Works for Clark County, Chief Airport Engineer at McCarran International Airport, and Branch Manager for URS Corporations' Las Vegas operations. Mr. Pullen has extensive experience as a leading Manager in planning and implementing large-scale development and construction programs, which include Construction Management Services, Project Facilitation and Public Agency Coordination. Dedication to serving the client and providing excellent customer service is an integral part of his business ethics. Mr. Pullen has extensive experience in construction project administration requiring coordination with Federal, State, and Local entities; public awareness and information programs; dispute resolution practices; claims mitigation; multi-phased projects; and exercising of management skills and techniques to ensure fiscal responsibilities meeting schedules and sound accountability. Clayton Neilsen, P.E. Mr. Clayton Neilsen, P.E. is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Nevada and is responsible for managing numerous projects for Nevada By Design. In order to provide the best overall product for our clients it is Mr. Neilsens’ goal to provide personalized professional service. He does this by responding to the clients needs in a timely manner, providing written and verbal communication, conducting progress meetings on a regular basis, and by continually involving the client in all aspects of the project.

Craig A. Ruark, LEED AP Nevada By Design is proud to announce that Craig A. Ruark, Director of Business Development has successfully demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Rating System established by the US Green Building Council, to pass the accreditation examination and become a “LEED AP”. Craig A. Ruark has over thirty years experience in the field of marketing and public relations. In addition to his position as Director of Marketing/Business Development for Nevada By Design (NBD), Mr. Ruark will provide Public Information/Public Outreach services for NBD clients. Based upon the scope of a major public works project and its effect upon the surrounding community, Mr. Ruark prepares a plan to strategically inform those persons most likely to be impacted, of the details involving the project. He is responsible for organizing and conducting public meetings and directs the design and production of printed mailers. Mr. Ruark’s background in broadcasting and print media as well as his basic knowledge of engineering, enables him to communicate the details of a project in lay terms for the general public. Mr. Ruark began his career as a part time News Reporter for WLAC-FM (News Radio, Nashville, Tennessee), while studying journalism. He moved into a full time on-air disc jockey/news reporter during the mid to late seventies and has been on the scene during various news, political, and sporting events throughout his career. He has also prepared in-depth news stories requiring hours of research and interviews to capture the truth behind the obvious. For the past twelve years, Mr. Ruark has been involved in the engineering industry, providing marketing and business development for geotechnical, environmental and civil engineering firms.
